The film is the outcome of an unusual workshop: in August 2017, a group of young refugees was given the chance to shoot a short movie with the help of “pros.” Starting as a fiction film with three young Afghan men as the main protagonists, it turns into an Eye-direct-documentary, giving insight to their current life in Germany. Maria Furtwängler, a famous German actress, agreed to play a major character: a German language teacher, who is given an unusal present, actually causing one of the refugees to faint.
